Does someone on the board own Kirsten's silverware? I have a question about the size. What is the length of the table knife (or spoon or forks, but I'm assuming the knife will be the longest piece)? I suppose any AG doll's silverware would be OK to measure if you don't have Kirsten's. I checked a "real" table knife and it was only 8 1/2". The doll silverware I've found (from a couple of different sources) is around 4 1/2". That seems way too large...I usually figure everything should be 1/3 the size for an 18" doll, but this isn't even half. I don't want Kirsten to look like she's eating with deadly weapons! I almost wonder if I should get the silverware anyway...it's so hard to keep everything perfectly proportioned. But at the same time, the ones I have found (one advertised specifically as doll silverware and the other as miniature silverware) seem a little too large.

    Thanks for your help!

I have the 2 1/2 inch silverware that is sold at this site. They are scaled about right. I got them at a local shop.

ubarose, does the link above work when you try it? It made my browser go goofy with a looping "processing" message.

Looks like I'm barking up the wrong tree with 5" silverware! I'll have to keep looking.

    Thanks for your help!

Thanks--that link worked! The silverware on the page is darling, but a little too expensive for me since it's only a set of one of each--I would need four sets! The other ones I've seen for sale have 4x the amount for a similar price, and I was going to split the lot and give half to a friend. I think everything in Kirsten's collection can be made or found easily, except maybe the silverware and salt box! I'm wondering where to find these at a price less than AG charges.

Sorry for the bad link. It works on my mac, but not on my PC at work. Strange.

As I said, I found my silverware at an odd little local store. I bought the last four sets for less than $2 each. Keep your eyes open and you may find something. Flea markets and consignment shops often have things.

That is some pretty neat stuff on that website. The prices seem reasonable but I guess with shipping it is a lot. I guess you should order a whole bunch of stuff at once. I noticed they had some religous stuff on that website. I think someone was looking for a sabbath dinner table stuff. They did not have that but they had candles and a menorah and other necklaces.
